In 2021 I started developing and scanning my own film at home. I’ve always enjoyed cameras and taking photos, but film photography rekindled my interest. Prior to this I was shooting RAW and struggling to coax the image I had wanted out of the data I had captured; film changes both the processing and the capture. I still spend time editing and processing the scanned negatives but the output is more immediate and in many ways less flexible. It just is what it was.
